Pearson HND Business + 1 Year UK Degree

This degree is the UK’s largest awarding body, regulated by Ofqual (England), SQA Accreditation (Scotland), CCEA Accreditation (Northern Ireland), and Qualifications Wales. The Pearson BTEC Higher National qualifications are globally recognised and benchmarked — rooted in names like Edexcel and BTEC that employers around the world know and respect. The HND Business qualification provides both a strong academic foundation and practical, work-relevant skills — making graduates genuinely ready for the workplace or for further university study.

The programme is structured across three years. Years 1 and 2 are completed at the Podar World College campus in Juhu, Mumbai — 240 credits of Pearson HND Business content delivered through lectures, case studies, presentations, multimedia tutorials, and research projects. Year 3 is completed at a partner UK university, where students receive their full undergraduate degree. There are no written examinations — the programme is entirely assignment-based.

It is also the only programme at PWC that is entirely assignment-based — there are no written examinations.

Students can choose between two partner universities: De Montfort University in Leicester (offering BA (Hons) International Business, BA (Hons) Business Management, and BA (Hons) Business Administration) and Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales (offering Global Business Management). The choice of university and degree programme is made after completing the 2-year HND at PWC. Admission to the UK university is subject to the university's entry criteria and available places.

Yes. All PWC students in the Pearson HND programme can simultaneously pursue a UGC-recognised undergraduate degree through Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) — completely free of cost. This ensures that graduates who choose to stay in India hold a qualification recognised by all Indian universities for postgraduate admissions and are eligible for government employment in India. Eligibility is subject to YCMOU and UGC criteria on a case-to-case basis. Please note: there is no credit transfer for any Indian course into this programme.
